About the Role:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our data science team. You need to have experience in solving autonomously complex problems and a proven track record building algorithms and/or data analysis models. This is a great opportunity for a curious professional to become a key team member and join AIMS in the ambition to become a global leader within the Artificial Intelligence in IT Operations market.

Responsibilities:

• Research, developing and maintaining algorithms for monitoring IT systems. AIMS algorithms are built using statistics, machine learning and NLP techniques.

• Work in close contact with backend and frontend developers in order to deliver a well integrated final product.

• Participate in ongoing and future research projects.

• Take responsibility to translate your algorithms into code and bring them to a production level. You don’t need to be a programmer but you have to be willing to bring your code to a good performance level, working with AIMS developers to build a smooth final product for the user.

• A mathematical mindset.

• Ability to solve complex problems.

• A science background (Math, Physics, Statistics, Data Science or other).

• Ability to put your thoughts and intuition into mathematical code.

• Min 5 years experience, ideally more, in mathematical modeling and/or working with data (professional or academic experience, PhD studies or hands on master thesis are considered)

• Experience with time series analysis and/or anomaly detection and/or data modeling/fitting.

• You don’t need to know all the algorithms we are using at AIMS from day zero, but you need to be able to understand and learn them quickly.

• Experience with NLP is going to be taken into account.

• Familiarity with Python language is a plus.

• Spark/Tensorflow knowledge is an advantage.

Location:

• Preferably Oslo, Norway but other locations will be considered for exceptional candidates.
